Julia Goldsworthy is a Film and TV creative who also works with textiles and upholstery. After studying Textile Design, Interior Architecture and Production Design she began working in the screen industry in 2018 and found her niche in Prop Making and Mastering. The nature of the role meant that she could explore interests and strengths in design, collaboration, manufacturing and data management whilst also being challenged and learning new technical skills.

 

In 2024 Julia took part in an upholstery course and she is currently exploring upholstery, embroidery and developing on her carpentry skills in order to work with furniture.

 

Through her screen arts and textiles-based practices, Julia has been able to implement her design philosophy revolving around tactile design and making, engagement, play and wonder, mindfulness, sustainability and the circular economy.​​
